At GTR Manufacturing, we’ve expanded well beyond sheet metal fabrication in recent years, and we’re continuing our strategic investments at a rapid pace. Our precision machining services have grown quickly, and our most recent additions include a multi-axis lathe and a vertical machining center.
While these machines enhance our technical capabilities, they do more than that for our customers. They simplify the entire manufacturing process by allowing you to partner with a single manufacturer for more of your fabrication and machining needs. And as a single-source supplier, we provide many additional services, from design support to sheet metal finishing, electromechanical assembly, and more.
Find out how these new machines will allow us to deliver greater efficiency and precision for your next project, and how our vertical integration can streamline your supply chain.
State-of-the-Art Additions to Expand Project Possibilities
Our CNC milling and turning services have effectively leveraged our existing equipment. In fact, our experience and expertise with these machines even allowed us to create parts customers assumed would require five-axis capabilities.
Our new machines, though, will take our capabilities to the next level. Our recent investments include a Mazak Quick Turn 200 MSY multi-axis lathe and a Mazak VC EZ vertical machining center. These machines deliver:
- Increased capacity to handle a higher volume of projects
- Faster production times through reduced setup requirements
- Tighter tolerances in our precision machining services
Single-Setup Solutions for Precision CNC Machining Services
Our new multi-axis lathe, in particular, expands our technical abilities by combining milling and turning operations in a single machine. We can now complete complex parts in a single setup, maintaining tighter tolerances through reduced handling and boosting our efficiency.
This lathe also allows for greater automation throughout our processes. By reducing the need for human intervention, we can achieve both tighter tolerances and greater consistency. In fact, with many parts, we can now take a “one-and-done” approach: after initial setup, we simply press the cycle button once to produce a complete part. With its versatility, our new lathe is especially efficient for parts requiring approximately 80% turning and 20% milling operations.
Building Our Strategic Investments Around Your Needs
Our investments in top-line equipment are part of our continuous efforts to better serve our customers’ needs with our precision machining services. By bringing more capabilities in-house, we’ve simplified the manufacturing process significantly. Our goal is to be your single-source supplier, and we always seek out customer feedback to identify any gaps in capabilities.
While we can effectively manage third-party suppliers when needed, every new machine we add to our operations creates a more efficient process, reducing shipping times, eliminating hidden costs, and minimizing the risk of delays.
Experience the Difference With Cutting-Edge Technology
With these new machining capabilities, we can handle more projects than ever, and these machines are already installed, calibrated, and ready for your next demanding request. Whether you need simple turned components or have complex projects requiring multiple processes, we have the equipment and expertise to deliver quality parts on time, every time.
