Sometimes referred to as “time-saving”, sanding is generally used to remove burrs and scratches from mill stock material after it is punched or laser cut. In some cases, it’s used to change the original grain of the material to eliminate cracking during forming. Sanding also acts as a decorative finish, and helps plating and paint to adhere better to the sheet metal parts.
Grinding is traditionally used to remove weld, and also to add cosmetic surfaces to metal products whether it is a straight grain finish or orbital. GTR’s employees have many years of experience, sanding and grinding parts as true craftsmen.
