Chem-Film
Also referred to as ChemFilm, chromate, or yellow chromate coating, the chemical conversion coating process applies chromate to the metal substrate, creating a surface that is corrosion resistant, durable, and exhibits table electrical conductivity.
It is used to protect enclosures and metal parts from corrosion, and to ensure that reliable electrical connections can be made to aluminum chassis and components. Chem-Film is also an effective pretreatment for both wet paint and powder coating.
Our process meets MIL-DTL-5541F , Types I & II, Class 1a, and 3. We also added a ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substance Directive) tank (Type II) to our process to assist our customers in the new directives.
