We never stop evolving and investing at GTR Manufacturing because we’re driven forward by our customers’ needs. In recent years, we’ve expanded our facilities and added capabilities in areas like precision machining, but our mindset is always to look to the future. We continually ask ourselves: what is the next machine that will fill a gap for our customers or lead to more efficient results?
We’ve spent more than a million dollars recently upgrading our metal fabrication company operations, with many investments focused on our machining services. We have the flexibility to handle more of your work than ever in-house as a single-source solution for your projects.

Three Game-Changing Additions for Precision Machining
- Mazak VCEZ-20 Milling Center
- Mazak 200 MSY Turning Center
- TRAK Machine Tools DPMRX3 with Proto TRAK RMX CNC
These advanced machines allow us to take on projects that we previously had to decline or no-quote due to limitations. Now, we can not only handle these projects, but parts that once required multiple setups can be completed in a single operation.
For example, one of the very first parts we ran after investing in our new equipment took just one setup, when our previous machines would have required three. Reducing setups not only improves accuracy and consistency, but it also increases throughput. That leads to more capacity for our customers and faster delivery.
Beyond Machining: Automating Electromechanical Assembly
Our precision machining services have been a major focus, but it’s hardly the only area of investment. We’ve added more automation to our electromechanical assembly (EMA) department, allowing us to more quickly build complete assemblies and simplify your supply chain.
A recent upgrade included six new automated crimping applicators, which attach terminals or connectors to wire ends. On the surface, crimping may seem like a small task, but the time savings add up quickly in production work when hundreds or thousands of wires may need processing. And by reducing manual work, we minimize operator fatigue and enhance consistency.
Building on a Strong Foundation in Fabrication
These latest investments build on years of continuous improvement, and the advanced equipment that has been part of our operations for several years is just as critical to our operations.
For example, our advanced sheet metal fabrication equipment enables lights-out production, running both nights and weekends with minimal human intervention. This technology maximizes our throughput without ever compromising quality.
Our investments are informed by valuable input and insight from customers and employees alike. Several years ago, we were preparing to finalize an order for an expensive new machine when a foreman recommended investing in a different area of our operations. That choice has paid off ever since, and it’s just one example of how our workplace culture values problem-solving and ideas from every level of our organization.
